It seems to me that this feature suddenly stopped working in the past few days. Did anyone else notice this? _________________ Doryman

Mac with Firefox here, too. But this would be a server-side problem that is failing to keep track of the last message viewed. If that is what is happening and if I am the only one seeing it then there is something else going on. My configuration has not changed recently either. Hmmmm.

Warren-
Could it have anything to do with your Handle change from Lori Ann to Doryman?
Just a shot in the dark from a non-pro, non-nerd, know-nothing!

Maybe. But it's a moot point now -- it is working again!

We have had this happen a couple of times. Once for three days and another time for about four hrs. Have no idea what caused it. _________________ Ted & Donna |

I've actually had the reverse happen from time to time.
The server thinks I've viewed a lot of messages, but I've been gone for a day or two.
More ??????????????????????

This is happening again -- only about half of the threads that I follow are sending out new-post messages.

Do you have one window open or two (or more open) windows (tabs) opened at the same time? _________________ Brent Barrett |

The solution is simple:
Read every word written on the site, everyday.
I did it for the past 5 years, but for the last two months, I've been a lagger, with too many other projects, plus just a little burn out!

Yes, frequently have multiple windows open to different threads, but I am talking about the messages that are sent to my mailbox alerting me that new messages are posted in threads I am following.

That is generally what I do but the email messages save me time by taking me directly to the latest post. Without the email alerts I have to manually find the latest message.
I was hoping the forthcoming upgrade would show me all new messages in all threads, without having to use the email alerts.
