Just a crazy idea --
We will be beginning our cruise with Grandkids in the San Juans about April 17 or so, so if any folks have some time off and kids or g'kids who'd like to join our g'kids (ages 12&10) for some boater camping, maybe we can put together some kind of C-Kid Gathering. They will be with us for two weeks. Anyone interested? E&B _________________ El and Bill (former live-aboards)

El and Bill,
Is this maybe June 17, or are you do LOOOOOOOOOOONG range planning? On another note, if your route from Coos Bay north is through Cannon Beach give a post and stop by for a layover spot or swing off the highway for coffee and a rest stop.

Tim --
Wow, you mean April comes before May and not after? What kind of dyslexia do I have? Yep, you're right -- JUNE 17th. Hey, and thanks for the offer for the layover. Sure would be nice to visit on the way north. How about sending your phone number to our fiero@pocketmail.com e-mail address and we'll give a call and see if it's possible to meet? |

Anyone foolish enough to think of a C-Kid San Juan Gathering in mid-June? |

Sucia Island is great--we just got back from a very pleasant 2 days there. El & Bill though we haven't met I feel like old friends having enjoyed reading about all your travels. We live in Mount Vernon about 10 miles from the Swinomish channel. Should you & your grandkids need land based beds for a night or two we have plenty of room. We have hosted traveling C-brats before & enjoyed the experience. _________________ We are land lubbers now enjoying NC.

Catman --
Of course, all adults who are kids at heart are more than invited -- so you certainly qualify, and it would be fun to have anybody who would enjoy hanging out and doing kid stuff (and maybe sneaking a sundowner, when the lil guys are off digging clams for us). Sucia sounds like a great place to start. Come on aboard, with kids or without. e&b |

Wade and Lois --
What a nice invite. Thanks. in the very least, perhaps we could all meet to share a lunch in La Conner or some such as we cruise by. Care to join the crew at Sucia? We'll remember your invitation, and thanks. e&b |

Tim and Judy --
Your kind invite to stop by is much appreciated. However, we were delayed a little longer in Coos Bay than we reckoned, and time ran out for the run north to WA so had to pass by Cannon Beach -- Sorry, but hope we can take a rain check on the visit for September when we come down the Columbia -- hopefully, you guys might join us for part of the trip. e&b |
