Hi Guys, We've been offline for awhile, but we're back........Anyway, has anyone ever had a problem with the water pump hose coming off their Honda? We have two Honda 40's which we just had a 100 hr. routine service done. We flew over to Washington this past weekend to take our first cruise and check out the boat, which we keep at Twin Bridges. After cruising for a couple of hours, the starboard engine started running real rough and spurting water out in different places. We shut it down and headed back to TB on the other engine. Cap Sante Marine said the water pump hose had fallen off. Anyone ever had that problem? At least we'll know what to look for if it happens again. I guess that's one advantage to having two engines.

Pat and Rick: We've got two Honda 45s on Captain's Choice and have had problems with the water telltale getting plugged up. The hose inside fits on a little barb fitting and thence out under the starboard side of the engine housing. If that little hose comes off INSIDE the cover, I can see how the engine would fill up with cooling water. Is that the hose that came off?
