A few days ago I logged on to this site in search of a good deal on a 19/22 cruiser. In the process I e-mailed several members asking about their thoughts on performance, HP issues, handling in the chop, etc. hoping to maybe get one response. Silly me. What a great support group you have here on the C-BRATS site and a big thanks to everyone who responded to my e- mails. After all of your advice and guidance, this afternoon I placed a deposit on a 2007 19' Cruiser on consignment at Bulldog Boatwerks in Ft Myers, FL. Many of you suggested that I try to purchase the 22' Cruiser, but I think for my use with the boat the 19' will prove sufficient. And if i decide I need more boat in the future, then Vivian at Bulldogs owes me one hell of a deal on a 22' cruiser (just kidding Vivian-thanks for all of your help) A special thanks to Tad and Toby, co-captains of the Comfy Dory. And although your e-mail and phone conversation were helpful, it was the wonderful sight of the Comfy Dory slicing through the chop on the Indian River this past Sunday that sold me. I am sure we will cross wakes soon. Thanks again to everyone. Sam Arterburn |

Way to go Sam, congrats on your new boat. I am sure you will not be disappointed with the 19 foot angler, and if you get to cruising these waters please drop me a line and we will try to meet up with you for a cold one, be it beer, wine or ice tea. _________________ Mike Taylor

Hi Sam,
Congrats on the new 19' C-Dory. I'm in the same "boat" as you were several weeks ago, trying to decide which model to get. I'm also leaning towards the 19', as well, and hope to see you at the Gulf Coast Gathering as was suggested by Papillon. I'd like very much to see your 19'. Will you have her by then?? And, what engine did you decide on? Steve |
