Has anyone on this site ever had an boat appraisal by NAMS or SAMS on your C-Dory? If so, can you tell me how old the boat was and how much above the NADA blue book it came out to be?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

I talked with a boat broker about this same subject. I was looking to purchase a cd-22. nada as you know is not close to asking price of many used boats out there. Banks have problems with loan values on these boats. The appr. I spoke with stated he has had to use the add ons to get the price up. I paid no where near what others are asking for used boats out there. Mainly because the c-dory line is not very popular here. He also made mention that nada values for add ons are low and when I was playing with it online the value did not change at all when I clicked on some equipment.

Thanks cbull for the reply. Yeah, I'm worried that the NADA value would be understated by $10,000 to the market value in the event I want to refinance or something.

Anyone else out there have any experience with appraisal values for your C-Dory?

Peter

I haven't checked on a C-Dory but other boats I've checked on could be sold for almost double the NADA estimate.
