We're looking at a start date to come down the Columbia from Lewiston on August 20 or thereabouts. Thought we'd post this to see if anyone else wants to join from the start. Looking forward to meeting folks along the way, also, for cruising or just visiting. Anyone care to join from the top end?

Hey there Bill & Ell
how many days are you looking at for the downriver cruise from Lewiston to the Pacific ?????
depending on how many days it will be will determine where or when we join you on your cruise.
We are definately planning on a portion if not all of the river.
Stop on in when you get to this part of the country and we can discuss it properly....lol.... Beer Beer

Roger --
Thinking of about 18 days -- maybe finish the day after Labor Day weekend (after the ramps are less crowded). Sure be great to have you two along in tandem -- about how many days do you think it will take (and how much time do you have?) Good to have some extra days built in for hiding from the weather.
Did you get my email sent to you from this site?

Oh, and Roger -- that's a for sure to stop by and sip a few -- been too long since we've sat around your kitchen table swapping tales -- we'll be up your way mas o menos Cinco de Mayo -- maybe, we should bring along a little Tequila?

We're driving along Cascade Locks, checking out the river and heading for Lake Roosevelt to pick up Halcyon and then trailer over to Lewiston to start the trip down the Snake and Columbia. Maybe stop off to check out lake Dworshak first, and let the weather cool down a little bit before heading downriver.
Our timing downriver will be determined by weather, wind, and quality of riverside restaurants -- so hard to say just when we will be at any particular spot, but we would enjoy company anytime, and perhaps can stay linked through cell phone connection. Maybe Roger on Sensei would be a good contact point for anyone wishing to join. They might cruise some of the river with us, if crops permit.

Arrived at the TriCities today from Lewiston. Windy, so shut down here. Hope to head out tomorrow. Maybe meet Roger and 'Lisbeth on Sensei down the river. Whew, is the Columbia and her tributaries one beautiful river -- from glaciers in BC to the desert. Wow!

Hi El & Bill,

Leave some time for the lower/mid river. A run up the John Day River is a must I hear since there is a great marine park. Looks like you,ll make it down our way before the snows fly so we'll hopefully look forward to you tying up to the Warrenton C-Dry dock at some point. By the time you arrive the jet sled guide boats will have pulled out so the ought to be a spot next to some of us.

Don't know if you got my hot mail but we do have room at the Roost but will contact Roger. See you at the end of the journey of the Corp of Discovery.

Tim

Would love to do the John day area with you guys as well as the lower river. As of next week I will have Wed, Thur, Fri and Sat off and Thur, Fri and Sat the next week.
Please make your tentative schedule known as well as what VHF channel you might be monitoring.
I would really like to at least have a chance to meet you two after reading all of your adventures.

Hood River is not that far above the mouth of the river so I think they may be in our home port sooner rather than later. COOL! The Warrenton contingecy of C-Brats is more than ready to welcome our nomadic travelers into the home waters. This should be really neat.
