I ordered those when I had my canvas made. The gal that does our canvas hadn't heard of them, so I showed her the pic in Cabelas and she started ordering them for others also.
They're easier to release and they don't stick up as much as the pin type.

Another cool thing you can do with these - get a second set, and install the female portion near the front of the cockpit. This allows you to take your camper back along with you, but get it completely out of the way if circumstances warrant (fishing, nice weather, etc.)

Simply stow the canvas up in the v-berth, disconnect the frame from the rear quick-disconnects, and re-attach the frame to the front quick-disconnects. Fold the frame flat, and tie it off forward against the cabin with padding as appropriate.

This is also a more secure way to tow the boat with the frame attached.

Not sure if Fred came up with this trick or not, but he told me about it so he gets the credit... Laughing

Thats how I have mine rigged. As you said, it gets it out of the way for fishing during the day and is easy to set up for the evening. I got the idea from Mike (Sealife)
