Thanks Tracy! I suppose we'd better get on that t-shirt list now too!
I have the hull sides all cleaned up now, just need to scrub the very bottom...that's gonna be fun! Then the cabin exterior. I've found a way to remove the goo from the original lettering, so I'm calling today to order her new name decals.
Jo likes it, but I'll have to keep an eye on her at the NC gathering...she may try to quiz Carrie about trade-in value for a 25 Cruiser...LOL! _________________ Snal~

I tried acetone, laquer thinner, and WD 40, none of these worked. Then I took a rag and wet it with gasoline, swabbed the goo, and used a windshield ice scraper to scrape the goo off while it was soft. This worked well! I'll still need to use some compound to buff the area back to the same shade of white. |

I use 3M product called adhesive remover...and available at any body shop supply store.....anyplace that sells automotive paint... we use it in the industry to remove those wood grain decals on the sides of cars...without damaging the paint underneath.... bubbles em up and softens em so they come off easily....plus it comes in spray cans... easy to use.
