Has anyone had to replace the fixed part of the large starboard sliding window on a 22 cruiser (the portion aft of the sliding part)? Is a replacement piece of glass available from the factory?
My window broke yesterday while the boat was sitting on the trailer in my driveway. I was not there when it broke so I have no idea what caused it but the entire window is spidered. It looks like it originated at the top of the window. Very strange... |

I believe the window is made by Diamond Seaglaze, a Canadian company, and recall that another thread within the last year described how the boatowner got a new window from them with relative ease. I don't have their website but it should be easy to find. Look on the remaining window for their logo. If I am remembering incorrectly another brat will certainly have the correct information.
Good luck. _________________ Patti and Barry

When I was at the factory during the 2006 SBS, they had a bunch of windows that they had for sale for all the boats. I'd contact them and see if they have one. They were offering them pretty cheap then .

The front sliding window on my C-25 broke. Sea Glaze sent me the dimensions by e-mail, and I had it cut locally. They sent a pattern away, and some factory cut and tempered it.
I found out later that I could of had laminated glass cut at the local shop, at about the same price. I would suspect that the laminated glass wouldn't shatter like tempered glass will.
Anybody but me have the front window handles come off?
