Great laugh Dan!

The chlorox treatment will kill the algae which is what you are seeing. Agree with Roger, don't sweat the other pathogens. We have cruised for many years and never had water borne pathogens in our boat. (not so true for some of our cities, including Key West).

Either using fresh water (the chlorine which is added to domestic supplies only lasts a few days)--or adding the small amount of bleach to the water see my drops advice above will prevent further growth.

Go enjoy the boat.

Yes it just a maintenance item. Pre and post treatments are useful. Potable water quality varies.

Sounds great, thanks gang. Now if only that 18th century former owner had stored wine in the tank I could use it to pay for the recent motor and hull work tool. Alas, chlorinated water (and working some OT) and I should be back on the water and hydrated as soon as the next weekend or two. Smile

Have a great one gang and thanks again from the newbie!
