I use one of two methods. One, glue pressure treated wood to the fiberglass, then screw the starboard to the wood, or, two, drill a bunch of small holes, at various angles, into the rough side of the starboard, and then use 4200 to attach it to the fiberglass. This accomplishes the attachment with a mechanical bond, which works in some circumstances. Don't try this with anything which will be submerged, or which will create a problem if the bond fails.

The following site is more on point to your question, but I don't have personal experience with the product discussed. If you get some, let us know how it works.

Agree, that I have only used mechanical fasteners, with King Starboard. I do slightly differently, but similar technique. I make multiple oblique cuts with a Dremel disc--at about 45 degrees to the surface, and then smear the surface with 5200. Basically the holes, or cuts will give something for the adhesive/sealant to bite onto. But, I still use screws or bolts.
