Hi Roger! Haven't heard much from you lately...must be very busy with those taters, eh?

Yes, we bought our 8hp Nissan through this company...cheapest we found. Service was very good. Nice folks and our motor was shipped promptly. No complaints.

Rick

I attempted to purchase a 6 HP Tohatsu from them, but they were out of stock. They said they would not have them for a month, but were willing to fill the order with a Nissan, which carries a slightly higher price (but the same motor with different graphics) for the Tohatsu price.

Got excellent service, prompt shipping, and a great price. I would buy from them again.

Its a long drive back to the website for a service issue ! I spoke with the head of Nissan/Tohatsu and their policy , unlike most all of the other manufacturers is ; your dealer contract says you are required to do a Pre Delivery Inspection, and cant ship/sell motors in the box or the warranty is not valid .Unfortunatly for the brick and mortar "skilled" dealer, they have been selling through big box/internet folks for so long that have had to adopt this policy; They will honor the warranty as a manufacturer . However, there are two parts to the process . The second step is to find a dealer that will service or repair an engine that they have no stake in . We always service the customers that have purchased from us first, long before the folks that are only concerned with price and dont understand , appreciate or realize the fact that we send our technicians to school [ at our expense] and pay interest on our inventory and answer our phones and stock parts to repair our customers motors . Something to consider.
OK I got that off my chest , thanks for listening .............
Marc

I certainly agree that getting problems resolved over the internet is hard, and dealers do have to pay bills. However, I bought my Honda(s) from the factory, in Seattle, Wa. When I needed service in San Diego, I contacted several dealers regarding service. Not one asked where I bought the motor, and each would service it. Picked the nearest negotiated a date, and the job was done promptly. This was a recall on the 150 shift lever.

National brands should be able to supply good service no matter where the motor is located.

Some do and some dont. Honda is exceptional in their compensation to their dealers . They wrote the book on service.... Believe me it varies with different Mfgs..
