First, the good news, there's clear blue sky and no fog in Sequim! The bad news, steady winds around 20kt at Smith Island. There may be some windows where this lies down but as they say, timing is everything. Watching the weather links I sent to attendees should give the best and most current wx info.
Several boats will be launching at John Wayne Marina in Sequim Bay. As always, you are the captain of your ship and should do what's best for you and your crew.
We'll be on the dock hoping to see you all by boat or by car.

As I told Roger, one if by land and two if by sea. This CBGT is gonna be a "one" for us -- we are wimping out due to the weather (although I was looking forward to the learning experience) primarily because Lori is coming off a bad cold and a boat trip would be much more stressful.
Soooo, we are taking the travel trailer to the state park and will see all and sundry on the docks this afternoon!

They say the best laid plans sometimes go astray. They do if the weather turns to doo doo.
We now have 3 boats at the Sequim Bay State Park dock, all launched at the marina 2 miles away! C-Brats are scattered from guest rooms to motels to trailers and vans. But we're here and we're having fun! Great meal at a nice restaurant and a giant surprise for dessert!

I'm sorry we couldn't make it; looks like you all had a lot of fun.
We took deliver of our 22 Cruiser today at 3:00 PM. She's sitting in the driveway waiting to be dressed with her various electronics tools.
Soon I'm sure we'll be crossing wakes with some fellow brats. _________________ Rick & Shirley

What a good time. Great company and good weather.
Roger and Janet were gracious and generous hosts. Harvey and Deena gave us the nickel tour of Sequim and provided transportation to and from the events. Thank you!

Roger and Janet knocked themselves out to roll out the red carpet for us Brats visiting Sequim. Much appreciated, and we had a great time, weather notwithstanding.

To Roger & Janet, what wonderful hosts! We had a fantastic time. Sorry to see the weekend END!
Roger & Janet were at the dock to greet us as we arrived. Name tags for all of us that matched the color of our C-Dorys, plus a bulletin board with any necessary information to help make everyone's stay as pleasant as possible...restaurant menu included. After a visit to their beautiful home Friday afternoon, we went down the hill for dinner.....MANY THANKS to the unknown individual who paid for EVERYONE'S meal. That was indeed a surprise!
Saturday morning Janet & Roger had another treat in store for us on the dock...fruit, rolls, muffins, coffee (decaf & regular). The weather started turning ugly that afternoon. C-Dorys on the outside dock really being bounced around. Roger had already moved DREAMER over to the John Wayne launch ramp. That left just enough room on the inside of the dock for the remaining five C-Dory's. Later that evening while the storm raged we were all snug in the Sequim Yacht Club with plenty of food, drink and good company. Thanks, too, to SENSEI for the fresh corn & to Janet (our hostess) for shucking and cooking it for us. Harvey (SLEEPY-C), thanks for giving me the corner of that lovely cake (with all that cream cheese frosting!). It didn't end there....this morning we had breakfast at the Oak Table restaurant....delicious meal with excellent service.
Thanks again, Roger & Janet, for all the work that you did to make our stay so enjoyable.

Roger and Janet,
Thank you for setting up a really nice time. Good planning, good food, and good company. We know how far out of the way Sequim is form every where, Like Bend OR, and Las Vegas NM, or Kalama, or Vancouver WA and all the rest. And they all came. It is nice to get to put faces to the names, and learn more about the "Brats". What a great group. And everyone had a great time, and we enjoyed it all. It was great to get to see everyone, and we want to thank you for such a really fine CBGT.

Thanks to everyone for making the effort to come to the Sequim Bay CBGT. I know it took extra effort to come out in the conditions we had. The special achievement award should go to Karl and Amy Harris (C-Daisy)and their two lovely girls who made the trip by boat from Tacoma.
For the record, the winds outside the bay were measured Saturday at 8:00pm at 42kts gusting to 48kts. Then the measuring device failed at 1:00am. The Coast Guard rescued 7 people in several different incidents. A sailboat once anchored in the bay was spotted Sunday afternoon laying against the spit at the N. end of Sequim Bay. No C-Dories were involved, of course.
We had 31 adults and 2 children attend. The longest distance award goes to Doug McFaul from Las Vegas, NM.(Ninfy)
Thank you also for your kind words. We enjoyed every minute spent with all of you.
Roger & Janet
