"I bought a cruiser so my wife would be comfortable and green light this extravagant toy. Back to interviewing boat owners about their boat... "

I have a 22' Cruiser, I also do a lot of fishing and diving- well, not as much diving as I'd like. Plenty of room for 2 - 3 guys to go fishing.
I took this nice gentleman and his wife for a ride in my 22' a few years ago- I advised him he should really look into getting a 22'. I even took them over and showed them a 16' -- after the ride. I specifically pointed out to them how cramped they would be in the 16.
Well--- short story is-- he bought the 16'.
Now don't get me wrong-- he loves his little boat, and really decked it out nice, but I do believe he is wanting to move up to a larger boat Mr. Green

Take a trip down the coast and look at the 1998 CD 22 Angler for sale for less that $26K for boat, motor & trailer. I think this would be a better deal than the new ones...particuarly when you look at dollars in and depreciation that seems to be happening to the newest hulls.

1998 22 Angler, $25,500 (Central CA)

Perhaps someone already mentioned this and I missed it, but have you seen the 22' Angler over on the Washington/Idaho border for $12,500? It's in the "For Sale by Owner" section of the site here at http://www.c-brats.com/viewtopic.php?t=5940. For that price you could put in whatever electronics and motor you wanted and still be well under 30k. Just a thought.
