Does anyone know the waterline beam of a C Dory 25? I have found a trailer, but I will need a waterline beam of a little less than 7 feet for it to work without modifications.

Thanks,

Marc,
Thank you.

I hope that the boat show went well. I'll have to say that the Tom Cat got a lot of attraction on the water at Ft. McCrae--probably seen by at least 500 other boaters who came by. So--not everyone went to the boat show!

You might have shown it to more folks than we did ! Im glad you all had a great cruise . BTW you probably want about 88" between the insides of the fenders if you plan to have the boat between them .

Hi Jim
We had a CD 22 which we kept in Las Vegas for about 4 years--several trips to the PNW, S. Calif. and at least one yearly trip to Lake Powell. My adult son has also re-expressed interest in boating, but the 22 was a bit cramped for him and we felt that getting into the v berth on the 22 was hard on our backs.

We sold the 22 when we purchased the TC 255. C Pelican has a new home with Jeff and I got to go aboard her about a month ago at Jeff's house. After about a year, without a boat on the West Coast (where I spent most of my life--Marie is from Mississippi) we missed being able to just go out and boat. Origionally we were going to trailer the TC 255 back and forth across the US. After re-considering, we decided to buy another boat for the West Coast boat and fly out more often. (We were missing the CD 22, but wanted a bit more room) We considered the CD 25, the Rosborough 246 and the Tom Cat 24. When this boat's price dropped, we made the decision.

My son will also be an owner and use the boat when we are not there. The boat will probably be kept in S. Calif. If all goes as we expect (the trailer is being built and electronics are on order) I will tow the CD 25 to N. Vancouver Island by the end of this next month for a trip to Alaska. I will probably spend most of the summer on the boat--Marie will fly back and forth as she needs to help with the care of her elderly mother.

It is likely that my son, Todd, will end up with one of these boats when we get to the point where we can no longer boat.
