My new boat is all rigged and ready for delivery except that it won't start. It seems that Honda does not have the parts yet to connect the BF 150 to the digital gauge package. Due Feb 21 into the Honda parts system, "Any day now" is a tough one to swallow.

It would take the dealership about 30 minutes to drop in an analog gauge set to get you going and about that to swap it out later. Every 150 that's gone out of here so far has had analog gauges so the lack of harnesses hasn't been a problem.

Thanks, Les. I kinda thought that would be the case. If they hadn't told me that delivery was imminent, I would be pushing them in that direction, but since the weather here is still lousy and the yacht club docks will not be in the water for 2 more weeks, I guess I'll just cool my jets. Thats's not to say that I wouldn't have almost as much fun with my boat sitting high and dry in the driveway!

Ah ha...extenuating circumstances! Shocked (I love that word...)

Living here on Puget Sound I forget not everyone boats year-around Wink . Better that you're waiting for docks and such and not just on the gauge harness; that really gets frustrating!

Have fun when you get your new baby!

I put a call into Honda customer service in Georgia on Friday, and they returned my call today. They said they would call my dealer and explain to them which wires to swap to make the available harness work. I'm not sure why my dealer and his service rep couldn't figure this one out, but it looks like it will be resolved real soon. (YEAH!!!)
