|
|
A friend of a friend has a 2003 Furuno 1712 radar that he is taking off a boat he just bought. Wants to sell - what do you all think it's worth? I think I can get it for about $700. Given that I need a radar and now have a radar arch on which to put it, this seems like a good deal to me. Right/wrong? Anything I should look for to make sure it's OK? _________________ Roger on Meant to be |

Hi Roger
If you want a simple Radar without chart overlay,
and the unit is in really good shape, with all cables ( uncut)
I would say go for it...
The price is ok (New 1299-1400 US)

$700 is a good price. I sold my Furuno on Ebay for 900.

A steal at 700 Rog. IF it's 100% operational.

There is little difference between the 1712 and 1715. At $700 is is a good buy. Definately a good Radar. _________________ Bob Austin

That sounds like a good price to me too.. Especially since We have a Furuno 1723 Color uniit that we want $69,000.00 for.... but the boat and trailer will be thrown in for free on this deal. _________________ Commodore Jim & Adm. Laurie

Jim and Laurie,
This sounds like a "veiled" boat for sale ad. If it is true, I can imagine more than a few folks getting excited about it. _________________ Dave S.

Jim, that would be an awfully nice price for such a nice boat. It would be mighty tempting for, say an owner of a green 22' cruiser of the same model year who likes the color green.
