Have new CD at home. Which is better to use, sealer or wax? Should I stick with what I start with? Brands?
Thanks

You're gonna get lots of opinions, Patrick. Personally, I use Finish Kare products on my RV and the "Jenny B." I tried the 2180 ultra Polymer sealer which came highly recommended by the folks who built my RV and found it was just as effective on fiberglass. Lasts too.

P.S. You might want to invest in a good random orbit polisher though. Those $39.99 jobs just don't hack it.

Although for a quick touch up I use McQuire products--we feel that Colinite Fleet wax is the best in the high UV environment of Florida. _________________ Bob Austin

pcator,
Congrats on the new boat. Colinite Fleet Wax is a long lasting paste wax that goes on easy and gives a good shine. At latitude 40.050N (PA) it remained a good protectant surface for over six months. Covered the entire hull, topsides and cabin with it and have been very pleased. I do not own stock in the company, just like the product.

Paste, I assume? The paste form is really good stuff. I've had people
tell me I did a great job waxing in the spring, when in reality it was
last season's wax.
