My new Tomcat just arrived with twin Honda 150's and have read the threads about Permatrims. It is still unclear to me if they needed and what benefits they provide. I had trim tabs on my CD22 and they were the best upgrade I ever did on that boat. I used them to bring the bow down to smooth out the chop. Tomcats do not have trim tabs...how can you bring the bow down??? Would Permatrims do the same??

squidslayer, drjohn of Tom-a-Hawk had them installed on his new TomCat 255 and seems to like 'em. You can read the discussion on this thread:
Tom-a-Hawk Maiden Voyage
I haven't used them on a TomCat but I have one on my CD-22 and prefer using the Permatrim to lower the bow as compared to trim tabs, which I also have. Sans trim tabs, I think it would help greatly.
