OK, last year, I sent in the 2006 cruise schedule to Nor'Westing mag, and the last several issues have included the current portion. It is not too early to nail down the 2007 NW cruise schedule, as folks may have to request time off and so forth...I assume Lopez Islander in May for Opening Day, B'ham in July (or is it back to Blakely?) and Sequim Bay State Park in October are pretty much foregone conclusions, but the rest is open - nominations? March usually has had a South Sound destination (Swantown, Jarrell's Cove), Poulsbo was a hit, and ????

I nominate Neah Bay for a late July/early August gathering. I'll be there regardless, the moorage is excellent, the fishing is excellent , the wine I bring will be excellent and I'd love some company.
I'd also like to do a June trip to Pleasant Harbor in Brinnon or maybe a trip to downtown Tacoma to take in the glass museum would be fun. _________________ Roger on Meant to be |

Great idea...that would be a neat change of pace.
However...

Don't let the reservation cops catch you with that stuff...
They were more than happy to relieve our camping neighbors of their alcohol a couple years back. No ticket or anything...they just took the stuff with them, and I'm sure they properly disposed of it. _________________ Will, C-Brat Nerd |

Dave S and I were talking about a Snohomish River cruise sometime in the early spring. May be a possibility _________________ Roger on the "SENSEI"

Okay...this post might show up twice. I am not sure if I hit the 'Submit' button on the first one???
Anyway, I have checked with Squalicum Harbor and I can probably reserve P Dock again (570 feet) but I will have to give the Port a letter ASAP so that we will be on the calendar.
Was thinking that we'd reserved the dock from July 12 (Thursday 1 pm) until July 15 (Sunday 1 pm). Obtaining the dock one day earlier assures us that the big yachts are gone by 1 pm Thursday instead of 1 pm Friday.
So let me know if any of you are interested in doing Bellingham this summer or if another date is better? Or perhaps you'd like to return to Blakely, they do have that nice covered area.
Thanks,
Ruth and Joe

Some of us working stiffs don't have our 2007 scheduled nailed down yet. But as Roger mentioned above, we were talking about the Snohomish River Cruise. By mid-December, I'll know my '07 schedule and then Roger and I will come up with plans for the Snohomish River Cruise. _________________ Dave S.

I am planning a Sound/San Jaun trip for late august early sept. If there is a CBGT that would be great.

Anna Leigh and I for the last two years have gone on a February cruise in the San Juans. Would there be any interest in this? I was thinking maybe Friday Harbor or if the weather is bad LaConner/Cap Sante. We could schedule it when blackmouth season opens. |
