We will get out of Yakima today about 2-3 pm. That will put us into 405 north in Bellevue in the peak of rush hour. If we get to Cornet Bay before dark, we'll launch and stay there for the night. If it's after dark, we'll stay on the boat on shore at Cornet. Whatever happens, we plan to be at Lopez early Saturday morning. If there's anybody else going out of Cornet/Deception Pass on Saturday morning let us know.

Lyle,
Jim and I will be launching from Cornet Bay but it won't be early in the morning. Jim won't be getting in off the road until around 4 AM and will sleep until around 9. Then we plan to leave Puyallup and head on up. Not sure what time it will be

Finally made it home after a not so smooth ride across the Strait. It was 26 miles from Fisherman's Bay to John Wayne Marina and white caps all the way (2 to 4 foot waves). Cruised at 7 or 8 knots and took about 3 hours to cross but didn't have any problems.
Cynthia and I had a fantastic time with everyone at Lopez. Four days of perfect weather, tons of food, an endless supply of Snoqualmie beer, fun fishing, and miles of awesome cruising, WOW!

The crew and new trailer made it home without a problem. Our ride was without the chop and wind but we did hit a couple pot holes.
The week-end as usual was perfect with a chance to renew some old C-friendships. Thanks to everyone we had a great time even without having our boat. Next time.

Ouch!! My sun-burned back is killing me. This weekend was worth it. We had a GREAT time on our first visit to the islands. 21 boats filled with C-Brats, lots of good food, great beer, sunshine........it doesn't get much better than this.
Thanks to everyone....see you at Blakely.

It was very nice to see all of you, and great big fun as usual. Jon and Cynthia, I was thinking about you and your crossing. I'm glad it wasn't any windier than 2-4 foot seas.
Thanks, everyone, for all the good cheer you brought to this very successful rendezvous. By the way, Tyboo, and all the others who couldn't attend, we missed you. |

We missed you Mike and Kay!! We had a great time with all our new and old C-Brat friends!!
Spent last night in Prevost Bay at Stuart Island with Anita Marie and Why Not. Had a wonderful trip back. It is almost like it wasn't the same Rosario we all know and luv, duh.
It was so smooth it was really wierd. Saw lots of seals, and not many other boats .. Got to EQ and bent Les's ear for almost 2 hours( the shop was closed). Perused all the C-Dory's there, including the 27's there. The Pilot house was really wild, but was very impressed with how Haleigh's Comet new power looks mounted. Then finally got home about 4:30 p.m.
Pat Anderson!! I had to break in to the emergency rations at Stuart... Had to.... I was so thirsty..... I tell you this to let you know the Steam Train is still intact, the Harvest Moon is history. However for your info, despite the late date on it it was still, very Excellent!!! A tribute to the quality of your product... Kudos... |

Sure glad to hear that everyone that was heading home arrived safely. Got a bit choppy out there on the way to Bellingham. Washed the R-Matey at the harbor, then put her into storage. We were home by noon where we took to our favorite siesta positions and slept on and off the rest of the afternoon. You guys are just to much fun! Thanks to all of you for the wonderful food and companionship and for sharing in our adventure of R-Matey's christening.

All,
It's Tuesday morning and I still feel like I'm recovering from a two week vacation, lots of sun tan and NO ambition. What a great weekend with you guys! Crab and beer on the dock, potluck at anchor and morning lattes, a rough way to go. Once again I learned that there is no end to good people when you run with the C-Brats. Also learning that there is no end to boat stuff I NEED (want, must-have, can't live without, etc, etc....) so I am saving my allowance once again.
Already looking forward to Lake Roosevelt, take care, play safe and we'll see you all real soon.

What a fantastic weekend we had - for us it was great to put the faces to the names we read on C-Brats web. Food, drink, laughs, christening, etc. all were delightful. We also enjoyed our stay on Stuart with Jim, Laurie and Fred. Ride back wasnt too bad, just a little rain. Doug, Wade joins you in seeing so many things that are "must have", "can't do without", etc. I'm not sure I can hold him back. See you at Blakely. _________________ We are land lubbers now enjoying NC.
