10/19 Update: We're going to hold onto the Otter for at least another year! Thanks for your interest.

The Admiral and CFO has given the all-clear for a TomCat next year, and I anticipate putting the beloved Otter up for open sale in the spring. If, however, there is a C-Brat in this area or warmer climes who wants a boat this winter, I am open to an offer. Here are the specs:

2001 22' Cruiser with green trim
2001 Honda BF90 outboard with 540 hours (9/10/06)
Wallas diesel stove/heater
Raymarine Raychart 435i color GPS chartplotter with east coast and eastern Canada NavGold chart cards
Raymarine Sportpilot Autopilot
Dridek cockpit flooring
Two batteries one-year old
Stainless propeller
Doel fin
Two stainless stern eyes for water toy towing and trailer tie down
Single axle LoadRite trailer with light bar
Icom VHF radio
Tachometer, depth sounder, and engine hour meter
Compass, Danforth anchor, flares, PFD's, etc.

This boat was rigged by, purchased from, and maintained by Cutter Marine in Essex, MD. It has been run all four seasons each year for five years. Services on the outboard have been done at 20, 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500-hour intervals. No additional engine work has been required. Boat has been kept outside on its trailer with regular cleanings and waxings. No bottom paint. A few minor dings in the gel coat. Trailer has had regular maintenance as well. Trailer has no lights - I use a removable light bar instead.

Depending on market in the spring, Cutter advises they will probably offer it for $40,000 if I consign it to them. Happy to take less from a C-Brat who will run it and love it the way I have! PM me if interested. We are located in Alexandria, VA.

First off, congrats on the green light on the TC, Tom! And thanks again for the hours you let Patty and me put on Otter, it will always be one of fondest memories.

Thanks Charlie and Pat! Yep, we will not be boatless. If the Admiral changes her mind (or I lose my job!), I'll yank this off the for sale page in a heartbeat!

Forgot to include the Wallas in my list of features. That is a great unit that makes winter boating a pleasure. I'll edit it now.

Put a price on this in the title -- $37,500. Never liked the "make me an offer" approach. Am still not planning to advertise elsewhere or consign until spring. (Of course, this means I'm going to have to give it a fresh wash and wax in case someone comes looking!)

Jim Hughes' beautifully rigged 2006 TomCat coming up for sale made us sharpen our pencils and think hard about accelerating our decision. After a lot of consideration, we decided that we will wait another year or two. The Otter is no longer on the market. Thanks to those who expressed interest.
