unfortunately while temporarily rafted to a sailboat a wake threw us together and we found what looks like paint or wax scraped onto our green trim, it feels like it is on top of the gelcoat you can scratch it and some comes off but is very hard. any advice on a product or method to fix this. our boat is new and not oxidized....goo-gone and and careful scraping or cleaner wax?? i don't want to spread this stuff more. help!!she is blemished. _________________ Bon Voyage,

I would use Acidtone with a Scotch Brite Pad...and remember to re-wax the area after your have the area clean.

I have used "Gel Gloss" with much success. It is mild and includes a polish It is sold at RV stores where it is used to get the black stains off of trailers. it is also sold at Home Depot _________________ Patti and Barry

I usually use a little MEK or acetone depending on which can is closer. It doesn't take much. Just don't smoke when ya do it ....
