Interesting looking piece of newly available electronics.... at a real good price too. We used Hummingbird stuff early on and it worked great... Anyone tried this new unit? I know it is not Garmin or Raymarine....but.. they have been in the business for many years and I am not sure if electronics is like computers where everybody is using the same parts...just a different assembly line.
Hummm?

Guess not.... Maybe I will be the C-Dory owning genie pig on this one.... and for about $1,000 put me this on and the Intellisteer system I saw with SENSI and Terry and Padra at the Seattle show... Even if the unit is not the best... the steering system will be great to have... |

I used a Humminbird depth sounder/fish finder/GPS unit for several years. It would not have been my choice but it came on the Whaler I had. It worked great. I beat it to death and got it really wet a lot in the Straits and San Juans and it never gave me any trouble. I consider them low end units that give pretty good service. |
