How about it?
Talked with Ron (Islander) last week and he was wondering who would be up for a weekend at the islands once this weather system passes. We could meet over at Santa Crus Island, do some fishing, diving and relaxing.
No schedule to follow, just head over some Saturday morning, spend the night and return Sunday after noon.
No docks, no power, no stores, no restaurants-- just drop anchor and fix yer meals on the boat. _________________ Roger

Yep...me too... Roxie (the dog) and I are going to Lake Powell later this month, but other than that....we'll go...
Roger and I went out last week, and once we got away from land it cleared up some and the ocean was beautiful... but no fish.

I asked Sally if she was up for a Channel Islands Quickie and, as usual, she told me she has a headache.
Wish we were on the left coast!!

Those dates look good for me. Roy? Sam? Bob?
It looks like another rain system may be coming through this weekend. |

Sounds good guys, but true to form I have to 'think' about it considering all the honey-do's going on (although all this rain has been fairly good in getting things done INSIDE the house...). Secondly, I am making slow but serious progress on my list of mods for the boat, unfortunately though, there's tools, fiberglass shavings and other junk from one end to the other on the boat!
Give me a day or two, might be able to do it. Also, would like to see how much this next storm is going to churn things up as it gets closer.

I would love to join you guys. Once a date is set I will be able to confirm. Anyone willing to help me anchor? The 22nd looks good for me as long as the wife lets me.

Man that time change must've really done me in, just re-read the FIRST post from Roger, says a 'future' weekend not THIS coming weekend. I'm up for it then, this weekend was just a bit too cramped.
I originally wanted to make use of some of my son's school's Easter vacation (next week), but he's scheduled to go out of town with a friend for at least part of it--his friend isn't sure of the trip time yet. I'd like to head to S. Barbara Island one of these weekends to do some serious fishing...then again, maybe August during the Catalina event.

Bob Cat, Katy and Mika are 80% in. Gotta know the final dates so I can move things around and be covered.
The compressor will be done by then (I think). We were on the breakwater Saturday night with a friend who saw at least fifteen 2-5 pound lobsters just walking around the sand at sunset. How do they know season is over?
Roger, this might be a good chance to get the window covers measured up by your source. The folks down here are useless.

So far it looks like;
Fishtales
Islander
Sealife
Dora-Jean
Dive Cat
L'il Rascal- if Scott can get a "hall pass"- I'm sure we can assist him on anchoring.
Hopefully Sea3po, if he's back from L. Powell in time.
Maybe some can stay over a couple days with Salty-Cs? |
