I just broke down and bought a small inflatable from West Marine to handle the shore party crew on Constant Craving. I am now having a hard time deciding what to power the Dingy Dinghy with. I have a 4hp Johnson short shaft 2 stroke of unknown hours/heritage. It seems to run like a champ.
I have considered picking up a Honda 2hp long shaft for the Dingy Dinghy, that could also be used as a trolling motor for my aluminum fish magnet. The problem is that i am having a tough time wanting to turn loose of $900.00.
Anyone out there in Doryland have thoughts about where to pickup an inexpensive Honda or Yamaha??? I am tempted to just suffer through the 2 stroke stink and put the $$ (almost a complete boat unit) into electronics.
All advice is greatly appreciated, but may not be followed... |

You might want to do a search at www.craigslist.com in the Portland area. |
