We have a nice canopy from King Marine Canvas but find it impossible to snap it to the sides while in the boat. Does anyone have any tricks to attaching snaps from inside the cockpit?

Start at the stern and work toward the bow, reaching outside to snap each snap. Last snap should be at the cabin and will be on the cabin side if like the ones I have owned.

There is a tool to help from the inside.

I usually use the tool for unsnapping, but it may well work for snapping. I also put wax on the male part of the snap, to make it easier. A little on the ring of the female also helps. Starbrite makes a cleaner/ lubricant for snaps and zippers. Super Lube also works well, both have some teflon in them. There are several waxes in lipstick type of containers for the snaps.
