I have a new to me 1980 Angler. I noticed I have wooden keel strips. They seem to be in good shape. Is it worth removing? Any thoughts? _________________ ChipnKim |

If there is no evidence of water intrusion or rot under these strips, I would leave them in place. These boats were a 'flat iron' dory--the bottom core was a flat sheet of plywood. The issue would be if the strips were in good shape--stay with it. _________________ Bob Austin
