Are there engineers and/or naval architects on this forum whom are willing to approve or condone the removal of the bulkhead to port of the helm making it easier for long/big people to have easier access to the vee-birth. In other words is it an ornamental partition or a structural bulkhead...two very different things.
Does this removal diminish the dollar value of the Dory? |

Above the adds - left of page there is a small slot that says "enhanced by google" search. Type in "Bulkhead removal" and several posts are shown. Many owners have done this with success. With care and time to finish edges for a professional look I don't think it harms the value - most consider it an upgrade. At the same time altering the configuration of the navigators seat to alllow it to face forward is another consideration. The bulkhead is not considered a structural component.
