Does anyone know of a reliable source for sheets for the V-Berth in a C-Dory 22?
Please bear with me folks. I am new to the C-Dory group and to be honest I am new to the C-Dory itself.
Hopefully Sea Angel will make its way to Pennsylvania in a couple weeks. I plan to spend a few weeks outfitting her with the bare minimums, provisioning her and taking her on a few maiden voyages.
Beyond that I will trailer her to Oriental, NC and take off for a 2 week cruise. I have already told everyone at the office that if everything goes well I will extend the 2 week cruise in to a 4 week cruise.
I guess I am trying to take a crash course in crusing in a C-Dory 22. |

I'm no expert on boating, but I'm pretty sure you only get one "maiden voyage." |

Al,
Congrats on the boat.
We use the v-berth "trav-sak" from WestMarine. We also made a cover for the v-berth out of some large towels sewn to fit, with a flap in the middle to remove the cushions. _________________ Roger

Slow learners get as many maiden voyages as they need. And I am the ultimate slow learner!
All kidding aside I will take the boat out locally until I feel comfortable. |

That's exactly what we said before we got the boat, but it took 3 days to just get her loaded with gear after all the electronics, motors, etc -- we were running out of our planned vacation, so went directly to the mouth of the Columbia River and prayed a lot Steve avoided a bridge abutment on his way off the launch, so we count ourselves quite lucky!
Enjoy every minute -- you're gonna love it!
We just use a double sleeping bag...works great |
