2012 Marinaut 215 For Sale, Punta Gorda. FL

I am preparing to sell my 2012 Marinaut 215 and am posting this message to see if there is any interest in the C-Brat community. This boat was built by Les Lampman and his crew in Oak Harbor, Washington. The original buyer took delivery but never used it and returned it to Les for re-sale in 2013. I purchased the boat in January of 2014 and contracted with Les to make some significant modifications to the interior to accommodate my desire for a four passenger day cruiser. Among other things, I had Les remove the existing galley cabinet and fabricate a new base cabinet that accommodates the helm seat and an aft seat. I also had Les install a Garelick outboard kicker bracket, a Lewmar V-700 windlass and a Raymarine EV-100 power autopilot.

I took delivery of the boat and its EZ Loader trailer on April 13, 2014 in Punta Gorda, Florida where I have used it exclusively for day trips in Charlotte Harbor and surrounding waters. The boat is always stored in a garage at my home. Due to an unusual problem with salt contamination in the original Honda 115 outboard, I re-powered in January, 2023 with a new Honda 140 purchased from and installed by an authorized Honda dealer in Port Charlotte, Florida. Batteries were replaced at that time as well.

Some of you may know that a Cape Dory Marinaut 220 Pilot House Cruiser is being manufactured in Florida. There are some photos of my boat on that website that were used with my permission to facilitate the effort to continue production of the Marinaut design.

I have many photos of the boat and have a short video on YouTube made this past spring to which I can provide a link to anyone who may be interested.
