Thanks, Sneaks, it seems this clip has been around before. It's still awesome.

Discussion on the other thread revolves around whether it is safer to be in the cabin or out on deck. Recently, at Channel islands Harbor, due to heavy shoaling at the harbor entrance, we ventured out on CGAUX patrol in Small Craft Warnings, into what turned out to be the roughest water I've ever encountered. We were only going a couple of miles south to Port Hueneme, but had to turn back in the face of 6-9 foot confused seas, breaking at times, and 25-35mph winds. We quickly determined it was no place for us, especially when my buddy got tossed out of the helm seat (we were in my old Sealife 22' Angler). I took over at the helm, as I had more experience with this boat, and orddered the cabin door closed. Going into the harbor with the seas at our back, the last thing I wanted was a boarding sea coming into the cabin, making us bow heavy. As long as you have enough power, you can keep some control and prevent a pitchpole or broach. It was certainly an exciting trip, but the boat performed well, and managing to stay up on the back of a wave we made it in safely.
