Hello C-Brat Crew,

Dara and I have been absent in the forum for a long time now. We are grateful for the resource of information and inspiration this Forum has given us over the years.

We have had many amazing adventures with Plan-B that most likely would never have happened without the inspiration of you folks posting your adventures, experiences, modifications and so much more. I have spent hours and hours over the years reading posts and looking through endless photos and have yet to find another forum as friendly and genuinely helpful to me.

We have come to the painful conclusion that it is time to sell Plan-B.

We have a question and value the opinion of members here. The debate in the house today is whether to list her for sale as soon as we have her ready, (late January) or wait until the spring when boating season opens up a little more.

What do you think?

All the Best and Happy Holidays.

Jim & Dara.

When I was shopping for my 25 I was on the computer constantly for months looking for the right fit for us. It is my opinion for what it's worth that any serious buyer is out there looking now and pretty much all the time. The boats are valued according to what they contain and I personally don't believe that the season alters that much. And anyone who is looking for a 25' will know that they don't last long on the market. So if I were the one listing the boat I go ahead and list it. That having been said, yes there are folks that get the bug when the weather improves but chances are they are not the ones who are going to by a 25. Just my opinion. Good luck with your sale.

I'd say list it when you are ready. If you live in California, as your profile shows, you have open water available to sea trial it. Even here in the midwest, boats have listed for sale in the winter. Just harder to do a sea trial or look them over when it's 10 degrees and the snow is blowing! Mr. Green (Not this year. 40 degrees and almost Christmas.) BTW, just saw two other boats go up for sale here on C-Brats, recently it looks like. Colby

Thank you both for your thoughts. Appreciate it. That's exactly what we will do. Enjoy the 40 degrees while you can Smile

Get the boat ready for sale, detail it. Be sure all is working, be sure the trailer is in good shape, with tires less than 5 years old. Take plenty of photos, especially the interior.

I know of several people who are looking for a 25, including some in Calif. Christmas week and New Years week are not good selling times, but January is find, and many want to get the boat before the "season" starts. A boat on the West coast will sell faster than a boat on the East Coast.

Sorry to see you sell the boat, but once a C Brat, always a C Brat!
