Not too long ago someone was looking for entry/Exit steps for their cockpit. While I have no leads on a store bought set of steps I thought I would share the steps that I made for our boat. They hang on the gunnel and lift off easily. they are never in the way but always there when you need them without having to set anything up.They fit either side of the boat. Originally I made one set. They worked very well. Then I got tired of switching from one side to the other and made a second set. Now I don't have to worry about witch side they are on. we always have dock lines on both sides of the boat and carry fenders for both sides. Usually only hang fenders on one side, but when entering unfamiliar marinas and docks I will hang them on both sides before entering and with the steps can get on the dock quickly to tie up. been using them for at least 5 years now with no problems.

These look great, thanks for sharing. I've got the Garelick steps but I think I like this idea better. |

Nice functional design not in the way of toe placement while leaning over the gunnel and dipping the net! Very smart! _________________ Gary F
