Hi I'm Peter,
Just bought a 2008 22 cruiser this week (bought in Grande Prairie, AB). We're in Nanaimo B.C.
Hope to see others out in the Salish Sea this summer. Boat is currently named "Headbanger" (not our jam) to be renamed "June-bug" |

Welcome aboard. Congratulations on the purchase of a C Dory 22! If it were possible there would be a great reward from trailering down the Sydney and crossing over to Friday harbor for the gathering there. A whole lot of "new" experiences, especially if you have not crossed international boundaries, and ship channels before! _________________ Bob Austin

Congratulations on the purchase of your 22 Cruiser and thank you Bob for mentioning the C-Brats Friday Harbor Gathering.
After the gathering, Brock on Songbird will lead about a dozen vessels to Princess Louisa Inlet and Chatterbox Falls on Sunday, May 14. Final plans will probably take place just prior to leaving but look for group to start heading up your way that Sunday. Maybe you can join them in "June-bug." _________________ Gary F

I don't know what the itinerary of the boats going to Princess Louisa Inlet, but we usually went up to Nanaimo on the East Coast of Vancouver Island, and crossed the straits from there. Since your location is only a few miles from Nanaimo, it might be fun to visit with those boats which are doing the trip to Princess Louisa Inlet if they stop in Nanaimo. |

Welcome Peter!
Nice to have another Canadian C-Brat!
Finding a C-Dory in Western Canada for sale is pretty rare, and Grand Prairie of all places!
We are in Tsawwassen and do boat and fish (when fishing is open ..... ) around the Nanaimo area at times. (Thrasher Rock). We also cruise and stay around the gulf islands, usually several times a year. Just got back from Montague Harbor ( Galiano Island) a few days ago...
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions that we may be able to answer or help out with...
