What is the tip amount you need from the average user to cover the transition?

Hey fella - long time no chat! How's that fine red boat treating you?

I know a guy who has regretted selling it many times. Mr. Green

The Red boat is doing great. Just brought it home from Bitter End Boatworks with first time bottom paint, so no more scraping barnacles.

Any regrets should be relieved, knowing that we were allowed one of the best investments of our lives.

Sounds like you just made another great investment. Good luck and happy travels in your new C-Dory.

Thank you for the work on the site and your continued support. Also happy to see you back in a boat. Sorry to see the previous owner not in that boat,

Zero. Mr. Green

Again, we're always grateful for these donations - but we never want it to appear we're asking for money. We're not getting rich from the C-Brats, but the opposite is equally true. Neither of us will end up in the poor house over these expenses. Ads will cover the migration in time and Mike and I will continue to see small financial rewards from them over time.

The Tip Jar is a funny thing. I try not to comment on it at all, as every time it is mentioned here people send us money! Last thing we'd ever want is for people to feel obligated to donate, but at the same time - I know plenty of C-Brats feel good about doing so. We'll leave it in place and continue to show our gratitude when it's used.

Trust there's still a bit of guilt on my part there, no matter how much he reassures me it was what he wanted to do.

And, he knows the helm is always available to him. He just needs to take a 4.5 hour drive north now. Cool

Thanks to you and Mike for all you have done for this group for so long!

PS congrats on the new to you boat. It's good to see that boat in particular remain within the "family".

I've donated to the tip jar a few times, including recently. Not because of a felt obligation, but because the information I have gleaned from this site was worth every penny, and then some! Or because I got something from somebody that said just put a tip in the tip jar. If it buys a few drinks or even a dozen donuts for the sysops, it's worth it! Very Happy Colby

I whole heartedly agree with all the comments. $50 sound good to back up my support for all DaNag and Tyboo do and have done to keep this site up and running. Though a member, I was never a fan of the old C-Dog site and so was super pleased when this site was created back in 03. Now, if only Red Fox would show up……

Gladly sending tip for all the invaluable information and entertainment in the past couple years. This site and it's members have made my long journey and boat maintenance and upgrades easier and safer than trying to puzzle it all out for myself. Kudos to all members and site admins.

Upper left on the Home Page (it says "DONATE" in red) - unless, ironically, as happened on a tablet screen of mine, a pop-up ad covers it up.

I have a Windows desktop. If I click on the Home tab to go to the home page I see this...

No tip jar in upper left, so I think maybe it's behind that ad, so I close the ad and see this...

Still no tip jar. Either that or it's in my blind spot.

BTW I know these images are small, but the C-brats website automatically compressed and resized the hi-res screen shots when I uploaded them.
