Ad changes coming

Happy Birthday, Rob. I find the ones at the bottom of the page occasionally disturbing. Agree with the others being easy to delete.

I absolutely hate these annoying ads. By the way, I never click on them unless by mistake. I certainly never buy anything suggested in these ads; same goes for ads on YouTube or wherever.

I got a pop up on first signing on this morning which was all in Chinese, and would not disappear when clicked on. Had to close that browser window and open another.

I am ready for the "premium' no ad membership! . I joined that type of no ad group on several other site. C Brats is a far better site than those. I hate to have to be turning ad-blocker on and off.

So seriously, why don't I see any pop up adds? I'm using Mozilla Firefox for my PC browser, and what ever iPhone uses on iPhone. I'm also running Malwerebytes and AVG. I just looked through settings on my phone, and does look like I have adbloc plus. Probably some ad blocker on my PC too, but not sure where to look to see what it's running. Not complaining, as C-Brats is still the same great site for me it's always been. I think there was a very short time span, maybe a day, soon after you spoke of the ads that I had a couple pop ups. But I haven't seen any since. Not even seeing the ones scrolling across the bottom that have been mentioned.

Anyway, whatever is blocking them from my system, is working great! Colby Very Happy

Based on feedback, a couple ad changes were applied yesterday.

- The interstitial ad unit (pops up, must be closed to continue) has been removed.

- The floating footer has had a few tweaks made, including disabling it for tablets given the amount of screen space it takes up on those devices.

The annoying ads are gone. Revenues were simply not adequate to put up with the site interference they caused.

I've reverted things to how they were previously. The ads showing now are a mixture of Google ads and past sponsors - we currently have none.

Good progress is being made on the site migration announced earlier this year. The developer has done an initial successful import of content and photos, but plenty of fine tuning remains. More details on that project will be announced soon.

I haven't been very active at all since I sold Anna Leigh, and she became Tosca. I still have Alyssa Jean, my 2nd 16 and am glad to donate $60 to the cause.
