After a couple of years of cancelled boat shows here in Vancouver, due to Covid, the Vancouver International Boat Show just completed. For the first time I saw some C-Dory's at the show!
We have a new C-Dory dealer in town - North Shore Marine in North Vancouver. I talked to a salesman and he said they have sold a couple of boats, including 2 CD25's.. Here's the 2 CD 23 Ventures at the show...

Chris

Agree with you on that! Prices keep going up on everything. We bit the bullet on our 2018 C-Dory 23 Venture Sport when purchased new in 2017. No regrets since the purchase and we are still enjoying it. A benefit to owning a C-Dory is that they maintain their resale value when the time comes to sell.

WOW - very impressive! If I was there my wife would have to call security to have me escorted out at closing time! Mr. Green

Yes lots of $ but this is Canadian $ - US would be a lot less. It is not out of line with other current prices.

Notice some new(?) improvements like a 60gal built in fuel tank. It is also a well equipped build with quality hardware and equipment like a stainless prop - not usually standard equipment. Price even includes a trailer and your first tank of fuel.

The show model does sport a Suzuki while the build sheet lists a Yamaha?

Never made it to any shows this year. The London show was cancelled at the last minute and some guys I talked to that attended the Toronto show were disappointed in it this year. Might get to the Hamilton show in March - if not then next year will be better Thumbs Up

It's enough to make you drool, isn't it! Unfortunately, I'm afraid for my budget that exchange rate would have to be about three to one.

Regarding the outboard:

There are two show model boats in the OP's first picture. One does have a Yamaha hanging off the back. Might be interesting to compare the price and outfitting of the Suzuki powered one.

Bill - my bad I was assuming the build sheet was referencing the boat pictured above it. A closer look shows one had a 140 Suzuki and the other a 150 Yamaha - that may account for some of the price difference.

Re. the drooling - yes they would have had to detail and sanitize it if I had been there! Mr. Green

Rob

After 6 or 8 tries to copy and paste the link in my last post I hit the timed out wall so look it up - interesting stuff!

Please remember, recreational dollars spent are not real dollars.

Real dollars are your hard earned money used for things you really need like food,
beer, shelter, clothing, medicine and healthcare, maybe insurance, home utilities,
and an occasional single malt scotch on a special occasion, etc. Also, splurging on
something you really don't need creates more things you do need like a tow vehicle,
accessories, gas-a-plenty, insurance, etc. But, you know it's gonna be fun.

Today, the exchange rate is 1 CAD = 0.7427 USD.
So, those Canadian 23' C-Dories, at about $ 170,000. CAD = $ 126,277. USD
(? tax...)

That's just about what I paid in 2014 for my C-Dory 26 Venture pretty well set up
with twin Honda 90s and a trailer. Tow vehicle was extra. Now, these are gone.
I still have fun - just not as much.

Aye.

I thought the same thing since they are both 23's....

The one with the Suzuki 140 is a model year 2022 but is the non-sport Venture model (has the headliner and interior finish).

The one with the Yamaha F150LB is a model year 2023 but is the sport model (no headliner, spartan interior but preferred by many)

I wish I would have taken more pictures of the interiors and cockpits - sorry guys.
I didn't like that both stern lazarettes were used for battery storage (one in each) so the storage capabilities in the lazarettes was compromised. The storage of lines, etc. in the sidestep is a nice feature (my 2006 doesn't have these) but I noticed that the steps were longer and wider than mine and therefore take up more cockpit space.

The gas tank area had the factory covers over it so I didn't get a good look but it seems like the factory may have gone to a single 60 US gal poly tank instead of twin 32 US gal aluminum tanks.

No need for sorry's Chris - made my day seeing this post! I'm just curious where they put the 60gal fuel tank.

By the way if you are on the website for this dealer check out the Rossiter boats they sell. I have seen them many times at the shows around here as they are built in Ontario. Not a cruiser but a traditional cottage boat built to high standards of quality. Even the 14ft. model inspires confidence getting you home safe in less than favourable conditions. Wefings Marine did sell them for a number of years.

That's the Canadian coming out in me... Very Happy

The fuel tank was under the splashwell, the same place as my twin aluminum tanks.
