Is there a way to search for a specific combination of words? For example, if I use quotes to search for "call sign", I get a list of threads. When I pick one of them there is nothing highlighted in the thread of posts, but by using my browser search I find the word "technically" (contains "call") and "sign" (by itself), but there is no "call sign" in the thread.
Surely there's a better way... ? _________________ Paul |

What knowledge are you seeking about call signs and what search engine are you using? I just googled “call sign” and got definition, explanations, examples and lists. _________________ Gary & Gerrie former Minnie Swann owners

Even though I run the site, trust I'm not offended when folks point out our search sucks. I'm the first to admit it.
Yes, there's a better way. Use Google. Put the desired phrase in quotes while including the "site" command to limit hits to the C-Brats. It's not so tough after you've done it a few times.
For the example you stated, enter this as the criteria at the main Google search page. Works well.
site:www.c-brats.com "call sign"
It returns these search results:

I want to confine the search to threads on the c-brats site so now I realize I should just use Google and include "c-brats" in my Google search phrase. Problem solved. Thank you! |

Will knows his stuff here. I have never tried that type of search but if he says it works, I'm sure it does.
I would have used the C-BRAT search box and typed this:
call AND sign
The "AND" in caps links the two or (if more words that has to go between each word) and it will bring you a results just from the Brat site. You do have to click in the little circle that says " Search for all terms "
Doing that I got 220 matches, not sure if all are specific to what you are looking for.
ON EDIT: No they are not "Call Sign" specific. It might be call or sign or call sign. Only way to find out for sure is to look up and go through each thread.
