Congratulations Byrdman.
I am sure the new owners will get as much pleasure out of the boat as you.

Congratulations Patrick!!! I know you've made some sacrifices to get this sold and to pick up some more cash for your next boat. I'm glad to see things are moving in the right direction.
Best,

Good deal! Now the pain of waiting for that new one begins...but at least ya have that 18 footer to keep ya on the water in the meantime.

Yes, the 18 footer should carry me thru for a bit. I want to take a watch and see approach on a few things. I love the new TC255. I like a whole lot about the new CR-25. I like a whole lot about the CR-21-EC. I'd like a look at some line drawings at least on the CR-21-EC blown up to the CR-25's size. I may just get them to build me a CR-25, put the diesel motor in it...and let me have it.... and see what some locals can do for a mid and top section. I like what I see in the electric (not the electric part...but the hull and layouts) of the Duffy 21's and the old Duffy 30 that they the Duffy company makes....but I want the diesel instead of all those batteries... I like a whole bunch to put a bunch of folks on my boat and just enjoy each other, a few good sundowners, and a bunch of laughs... For those of you who were at Blakely for the 1st trial runs with a crowd on the TC255.... well, that is how my family has enjoyed our boats.... with a boat load of folks on there. You can always adapt it to sleep a couple of folks, and if the base water heater and couple of other items are "plumed in" or anticipated, then things can be adapted for cruise travel for a couple of folks pretty easy.
I want..... I want..... I want.....but.... I have the CD18A classic.... and I like what RedFox is doing for the hard top for his angler... so, while I am away playing with plants for the season, I may give some tech school a $1000 scholarship and some parts money....and see what they can come up with ...... Take a look at RedFox's hardtop in the making.... how...to have clear fishing room in the aft section of the cockpit, when you are fishing..... just rig up some type of piano hinge about 2/3rds of the way back, put the rear legs in some type of quick install/removeable format (many ways), then flip the aft 1/3 of the roof forward onto the forward 2/3rds when fishing to get both the roof and the aft support legs out of your way. When done fishing and want your shade back, flap her down, install the legs.... and cruise home.
So...as you can see.... I do not know what I want.... but rest assured.... I want..
Thanks for the words guys... Hope to see you all somewhere...on the water soon.

Byrdman,
Congratulations on the sale of FreeByrd. Better put you're name on the waiting list for a TC255.

Yea, you are right Brent. Hope all is well with you and Dixie. I have emailed Jeff and asked him for a line drawing of the TC255. Bob and I spent much time on his boat one day at the show with me sharing ideas with Bob on how I would like to set up the cabin of a new TC255 as to make it more user friendly for sticking several folks on my boat at one time.
Let the dreaming and drawing begin!

Congratulations, Mr. Pat!!! ..... General Pat?..... of the Kentucky, Alabama.... type... oh... that would be Colonel...
With your big heart and smile, no one deserves the thrill of designing/picking a new boat than you!
I see what you saw in the 21EC... and was also trying to picture a large, sedan version on the 25 hull.... but, over half of my boating is in the cold weather, so a cozy cabin was more to my liking.
You seem to be a catalyst for good times, and have contributed alot to the C-dory sites. I hope to run into you and Sherryl... sp... sometime in the years to come.
good luck, John _________________ Sold 2007 TomCat TC255, Tom-a-Hawk |

John... What type of delivery date do you have for your CR-25? It will for sure be one fine boat. Having sold my TC-24, I am now looking to tow my CD-18A Classic to one of the marinas in the mid/southern NJ waters... and who knows where or what I will do come end of month Jun06 when the plant season is over.... but, I will be in the MD/NJ area, with a boat in tow. May take a week or two and run up the coast to NY... have always wanted to take a nice picture of our Statue from my own boat.... and ... I have a military friend of mine in Dayton OH, and some C-Dory folks up that way I have never traveld with... so...we will see where the tides of time take me. But, I will be having a good time on a C-Dory for sure.

Oh... sorry John... Yes, Sherryl is the correct spelling for my wife's name. After 27+ years.... I have learned how to spell that...if nothing else... |

Ahh.... yes, the spelling lessons of life! Well, it is looking like sometime in Sept right now for my R25. I don't have alot of discussions with the factory about that since it appears that the Apr/May sea trials will be the point at which many details will begin to get ironed out. John |

And John,
If the 25 Ranger has the same seakeeping qualities as the 21 you have a winner on order! Les gave the 21 a workout Friday in heavy chop and 2-1/2+ seas - he gives it a huge thumbs up! Dr. Livingston did his homework on stability -- absolutely 4-star. I'm impressed, because Les is just like his mother -- picky, picky!
