Well-traveled 1990 22' c-dory cruiser for sale. This boat has traveled well, but it is in need of some serious love. The hull is intact, but the outboard motors need to be replaced and the boat needs to be refurbished. The boat is docked in Newport, Oregon.
Asking $8,000 obo. Lots of potential for the right buyer!

| The owner was kind enough to send me pictures. She is about 2500 miles too far away for me to come poke around to asess any structural needs. But the boat appears to need mostly a good cleaning up (and how!) more than anything, and could make sombody a worthwile project. I wish she were closer; I would go see her. Sam |

I suppose it's impossible to know if there are any moisture issues at this moment/rot without a sensor?

I would certainly recommend a survey, if you do not have expertise with sounding and using a moisture meter (for this type of survey, even a relatively inexpensive capacitance meter will give you enough information, along with sounding out the hull.), then a good marine surveyor should be contacted.
Having said that, even if you had to replace part of the core, put in new engines, and electronics and a $1500 detail job, I suspect that you would have a good boat.
Bear in mind that C Dory 22's which have been rolled in the surf, and almost completely destroyed in a hurricane have been brought back to good standards, and given their new owners many pleasureful hours. The type of construction lends itself for repair and restoration. That is especially true with the high cost of boats currently.
