Hello Cape Dory fans! My husband and I are selling our 1983 Cape Dory 25D. Her name is Dood-a-lee, and she is in excellent, turn-key condition, ready for her next adventure. Dood-a-lee is number 130 of 182.

Dood-a-lee is the perfect boat for the cruising couple or a small family. With standing headroom (rare in a boat this size), two comfortable settee berths and a quarter berth, alcohol stove, a deep icebox, and a spacious head with holding tank, we have very comfortably cruised the Long Island Sound. Sleeps 4.

Dood-a-lee has a new North Sails genoa (2020) and many extras. Before we put her back in the water after purchase, the entire topside, cockpit and hull were redone and stanchions were reset. She is stored inside every winter. We’ve had many wonderful adventures on this boat and we will miss her.

Equipment:
Engine, Yanmar 1GM (rebuilt 2017) approx. 65 hrs, 12 gal diesel fuel tank, 20 gal freshwater tank, 14 gallon holding tank, 2 Blade prop, 1” stainless steel propeller shaft, electrical starting battery and house battery, all maintenance performed by marina mechanics and all maintenance records kept.

Rigging/sails, Main w/4 battens, 2 reef points, sail cover, Harken roller furler, new roller furler line (2022), Harken self-tailing winches, new North Sails genoa (2020)
Garmin GPS and Marine radio

Bronze opening port lights with screens (6), Original bronze seacocks
, 6 lights in cabin, 12v DC cigarette lighter adapter for charging devices, alcohol stove, large icebox, pedestal mounted table, two forward hanging lockers, one with shelving, Delta plow anchor w/ chain, Danforth standard anchor w/6 chain & 100’ rode, manually operated marine head with new pump (2017), sanitation hose replaced in 2017, 14 gal holding tank, compass, Yanmar Service Manual, all electronics, stainless/teak swim ladder, original covered settee cushions, canvas dodger

$24,500 OBO

Cedar Island Marina, Clinton, CT

Umm... that is NOT a C-Dory, that is a Cape Dory sailboat. Obviously someone who just joined to list their boat for sale and doesn't know what this forum is about.

Good luck with the sale, but you're going to have better luck selling it where people are looking for a sailboat.
