We need to replace the potty. Currently have a thetford campapotty. We would like a bigger waste tank capacity. Does anyone know what is the largest potty that will fit under berth without altering the center cushion? Was looking at the dometic/ sanipottie 965 but not sure it will fit the width is 17"
TIA

I've got the Thetford 365, and the removable V-berth cushion rests on top of it but fits fine. It's got a lot of holding capacity (comparatively).

We use a 5 gallon bucket with a seat & lid. It fits in the well between the gas tanks. It’s actually too big, but I don’t like porta potties because they’re too small.

We have owned 3 Dometic 986 models and they are a perfect fit with larger 5 gal holding tank size. Compressed air flush is also nice. My ladies always liked it better than a couple of other models we had. Darn thetford curve model with power flush wont fit with cusion in place.

Something else to consider—and I know someone else has raised this issue on a similar thread—is height. The Thetford 365 is higher because of the additional storage, which makes it more comfortable for many. But it also makes it more difficult to use in the V-berth for tall people. Like everything else with boats, it's a compromise—you have to choose your own priorities.

I think the Thetford Campa Potti XG will fit. But we had raised the center cushion 1/2” to match the rest of the cushion that I had placed 1/2” pink board under for condensation. The original that came with our 22 was no longer manufactured. There are a lot of different porta potti out there but seemed like the seat size for many were made for a child’s butt. I think the biggest holding capacity you’ll find is 5 gals.

We have a larger domestic which stays in the cockpit. My wife won't allow it in the cabin. I would rather it be there as well.

Here is the ultimate potty. No cabin space needed. Very easy to clean. Very little smell in boat. Large capacity. No costly pumpouts.
