I agree. Say, they look comfortable. Wondering, though. How do they get along when they're not sleeping? And how do they manage the division of labor? By chance is one more mechanical, the other more domestic? Any tussles with the remote? |

Pat, are you sure that's not a stuffed doggie?

They are hilarious together. Ever since Columbia first took over this house as a little kitten, Oscar would pick her up by the scruff of the neck and pull her around the house...the kitten just purred. Now they romp, frolic, pounce and wrestle, and when they get tired, they just snuggle up together. Frequently preen each other. No tussles for the remote as far as I have observed - Columbia is clearly the boss, she chooses the channels...

Fairly certain...judging by the bodily functions, I would say quite sure!

How long did it take for Oscar to do that? My dog beast isn't quite ready to lie down with the lions. This was taken after only one week together though, in November of '05. At least they don't fight any more, more playing too..

Well, Oscar was here first, and Columbia came along later...but he took to the kitty the first day she was here. I cannot describe, though, how Columbia is in charge around here - she REALLY rules the roost. It is amazing how the other cats defer to Columbia. Two other cats live here, Big Momma who is 16, and Whitey, who is younger - when the food goes into the dish, you can easily tell the pecking order! Oscar has no use for the other cats, he basically just ignores them. Oscar just dotes on Columbia, and she returns his affections, I think Oscar and Columbia would give us grandchildren if that were biologically possible...
