There's a possibility my wife and I may pop in for a day. We're still doing some planning around her vacation schedule, and a desire to visit my brother in Graham, Wa. We're hoping to get some cruising in around the islands, but with a limited amount of time, doesn't allow us to spend it all in one place. Colby |

Assuming the boat get here from NC by then, Launa and I will be there.
Looking forward to reconnecting with our C-Dory friends.

2022 Friday Harbor Signup Now Available!
To sign up for this event:
- (1) Click this link: http://www.c-brats.com/groupcp.php?g=11667&sid= ... OR ... Click “Event Signups” (menu bar at the top of the main C-Brats page), then under “Join a Group”, find the “Friday Harbor” event and click on 'View Information”.
- (2) On the event page, click “Join Group” to put your name on the list
In a few months we will contact you to gather more information for the final signup. This information helps in four ways:
- discount price from the Port if we submit enough signups
- the Port will assign an entire block of adjacent slips
- facilitate the Coast Guard Auxiliary safety inspections (if desired)
- create a list for all of us to help match people to boats
Feel free to PM the following information to us when you sign up for the event, or as soon as you determine your arrival & departure dates. If we don’t have this info by April 1, we will be PMing you.
- Vessel Name & Length
- Captain / Co-Captain Name(s)
- Additional Passenger Name(s)
- Arrival Date
- Departure Date
- Safety Inspection Requested
We look forward to seeing everyone May 12-14 in Friday Harbor!

I had a call today from Teddy G, the coordinator of the USCG Aux that did the safety inspections last year. He and his group are willing, (and Planning) on doing them again for the FH-CBGT group again. I sent his contact info to Gary (DayBreak) and they will get together to facilitate getting those inspections done. Just my feeling, but I think everyone should avail themselves of that opportunity. The price is right, the learning is free, the sticker could save you getting an opportunity to have the active duty USCG stop by some day when it is less opportunistic from you viewpoint, and IF you have some hang-up during the inspection, there is no fine or adverse consequence. The inspector will tell you what is needed, show you, and in some cases even help get into the proper condition.

Gary, thanks for starting this thread and getting us motorvated to sign up and visualize three days--or more--in May. Gosh, that's only four months away. And Harvey, as always, thank you for your helpful information and enthusiasm. The Friday Harbor rendezvous is always a winner, and everyone finds fun things to do. I like to bring my bicycle and ride the island one morning. Others enjoy strolling the docks and small town, or chatting with fellow Brats. Then again, messing about in the boat, sleeping, or hours reading in the cabin or cockpit is just right for many. See you there! |

Thanks Harvey for the encouragement to get that painless vessel inspection done during the event. Twice, having the annual Coast Guard Inspection Sticker in our window has saved us from being boarded by the Coast Guard. On one occasion, it was very obvious because the officer looked at me, the current year inspection sticker on the boat and passed on by to hit up the next guy behind me while on the dock.
Thank you to everyone who has PMed the needed information so far in making the group reservation with the Port. Even though the event moorage is on May 12 - 14, keep in mind that the official end of the event is at noon on Sunday, May 15 to keep things straight.
Keep signing up along with your PM information. Look forward to seeing everyone May 12-14 up to noon on Sunday May 15 in Friday Harbor! Gary. |

Thank you Sandy for the reminder.
For those first arriving to the event, when you are about one mile out from the Harbor, call to the Harbormaster on VHF Channel: 66a or call in at Phone: (360) 378-2688. Give them your boat name and length. Let them know that you are with the C-Brats event and looking for moorage on Dock H. Please do not take an open slip and think you can contact the Harbormaster later. Many attending the event will take their boats out on the water for the day and come back to their paid slip. |
