Well I thought I had read enough on here to order a replacement for a dead motor. These are the original AFIs so I thought I could just get the same motor and it would be installed in the exact holes.
I thought I read AFI 1000 so I ordered the Marinco AFI 1000.
It is quite a bit smaller than the AFI 2000s on the boat.
I guess now I can drill a new mounting hole or look for a 2000.

I should have added the current wiper shaft hole and the mounting hole are about 6 3/4" apart. The AFI 1000 holes are 5 5/15" apart.
I can't find the measurements for the Ongaro 33611.

Here's how I changed the wiper motors on Journey On: changing wiper motors.
And I will say that I've never seen 15's used as a measurement. Relax, we all make mestikes.

Just to beat this into the ground, 5/15 reduces to 1/3. OK, probably should be 16.
Still, read what it took to change windshield wipers. Has worked well for years.

I had read your install several times. I got the wiper off with my Dremel as did you. Issue is both my wiper motors are the 2000 and not the 1000 like yours.
With the 2000 motor, to take the cover off to make the adjustments, the screws are in side the cabin and not against the glass.
I'm now thinking to install the Ongaro like you but would like to know the measurement from center of mounting bolt to center of drive shaft. It doesn't need to be in 15ths either.
It looks like to make adjustments on the Ongaro the screws are also in the cabin and not against the glass. So you install and then adjust, correct?
I tried Googling Ongaro (Install) Manual and got no results.

Let's remember that I changed those wipers 6 years ago AND my memory sucks. Also it's 90 degF outside so i'm not going down to the boat until it cools. That'll be in 4 days.
So, on to the question. I do remember i just accepted that I'd have to drill another mounting hole, which I did. And it wasn't in the same place as the old. Obviously the shaft/bushing fit in the old drive hole, giving a second mount.. Filled the old holes with 3M 4000 in case someone wanted to go back to the original hardware.
If you need exact answers answered, call/email the importer, Ongaro . I remember they were helpful.

No need to measure. I decided I am going to use the Ongaro motor and drill a new hole.
Thanks for your info.
I appreciate all your help.
