A big hello to all Brats:
Just received this notice from the SE Cruiser's Net.
http://www.cruisingguide.com/cruise-news/okeechobee.asp
Any of you planning a cross Florida trip take notice. I can concur that the "Big O" does get mighty rough on windy days.... _________________

good to see you on again James. Hope all is well. Thanks for the update. I got an email talking of the ruff water in the Big O from Casey and Susan. Looks they are having a nice time in FL...
Thanks again for the update. From what I can tell... looks like a possible get together end of Feb "ish" somewhere in the Napels FL area. I can not commit until Bonnie Plant Farm gives me some type of dates. With the colder weather predicted for the month of Feb, it looks like I should be safe for a run south to FL. WHat is your schedule looking like? |

Yes, thanks for the heads-up and the link. We'll be crossing the pond, West to East, on or about 2/22. This will add to the anxiety, or adventure, of traveling in unknown waters. |

Pat:
Still in recovery mode from hurricanne Charley and if our towns experience is any indication New Orleans and surrounding areas will take 30 years to complete theirs. Have used up 2 weeks vacation building the new boat barn and my screen cage for the pool should be finished later this month, early March. The load at work has slowed somewhat, we aren't on mandatory 7 days a week but are required to work a minimum of 5 dawn to dusk which leaves me a little time. I'll certainly make arrangements to attend any gathering but won't be cruising anywhere as what vacation I have left I will need for lobster season at the end of July. I may not post much but I do monitor the Brats at every opportunity. Take care..... |
