My wife and I will be purchasing a Cdory 22 cruiser. My wife recently met them and sent me a pic of their boat with a 200 HP on it. So the question is, what is the size of their Cdory. I thought it was a 22 but with a 200 hp on it, it must be larger correct? _________________ Thanks.

If it's Brazzo, it is a 22, and I don't think they have a 200 on it. I'll have Gaye or Bob respond here. Unless NMI has changed their specs, the 115 was the largest it was rated for. Although I know some have gone with a little bigger engines yet. Colby |

Hi John,
Colby is correct - no 200hp on our CD22. We have twin Honda 50’s. Just delivered the boat to North Carolina to store before we start the Great Loop in June.
Thanks Colby - hope all is well - I thought of you as I trailered the boat from Las Vegas to North Carolina last week - long drive but nothing compared to all your adventures with your C-Dory. Have a great summer cruising. _________________ 2008 CD22 Twin 50hp

Thanks Brazo
My wife was incorrect in identifying you. She ran into a YouTuber with a cdory with a 200 HP. Curious of the boat size as she thought it was a 22’

A few people have put 200hp motors on their 25s or 26s. |

New C-Dory owner here. Just want to give a shout out to Trip Smith, my wife and I were moving from a sailboat as have a toddler and it had an open transom... was starting to get scary to keep her on the boat especially in bigger weather. We were looking for the smallest boat that could get the job done.
We found C-Dory through Trip. Frankly, he's so quirky that we found him compelling/it kept us watching. Talk about a man living his own truth (not sure how deep anyone has dove but you gotta check out his diet / sleeping technique. Wild stuff).
Anyhow, point is - Trip, if you hang out on this site, thanks - love your stuff, keep it up! For everyone else, thanks to you too - this is a truly happy corner of the internet and everyone has tons of knowledge. |
