Been getting limits of trout at Lake Cachuma, just out of Santa Barbara. I troll flashers and nightcrawlers. Took a buddy and two of his G-kids (6 & 9) out Sunday and let the kids get their fish _________________ Roger

Roger -
Are them there trouts naturals or planted? Are there even any native trout left in the world?
If you come to the SBSCBC, I will give you the best lake trout catcher in the world. It is a little old fly that you troll with 10 feet or so of 4 lbs. leader attached to your mainline. No weight, no worms, no spinner, no nothing else. Drag it slow way back behind the boat, and keep your eye on the V it cuts in the water. Very soon, there will be a big splash there. It is a simple tied back caddis, but you will never be able to duplicate its effectiveness unless you have some Clatsop County, Oregon, deer hair to use in making it. _________________ TyBoo Mike

That sounds an awful lot like a bribe. I would like to attend the SBSCBC, I used to go to the International Sportsmans Expo at the Kingdome every year. But - alas- I can't.
These are all planters (Alpers) that they plant in the lake. Sometimes we get a holdover with good pink meat. I use the flashers and nightcrawler or a trap rigged 3" Big Hammer < http://www.swimbait.com/ > |
