I am the second owner of my 16' C-Dory. It was bought new from Wefings in Florida.

My 2006 50 HP Suzuki has been a great motor - but I let it sit inside for 4 years. I tried the usual fixes to start - but plenty of crank and no start.
I tried 7 places within 100 miles of Bowling Green, KY and either they didn't work on Suzukis or they were a month behind.

I called Wefings and asked to speak to Marc - he was out. But Justin was there. Justin told me things to check, and 2 phone calls later I isolated the problem - inoperative high pressure fuel pump. This required removing the intake manifold, and when I opened the VST (new acronym I learned today) the pump was rusty and looked pretty bad. No one ever told me about the drain at the bottom of the vst.

So now I need to order some parts, and should have it back together soon.

THANK YOU Justin at Wefings!

Oh yes, the VST. Without it the fuel injection system would need a return line to the tank. It is just a big float bowl and can have some of the same problems a carb has with ethanol fuel. Why they call it a vapor separator tank instead of a float bowl I don't know.

It is good you have a dealer you can count on. Even here on the opposite coast Marc, Justin and Wefings have a great reputation. Kind of like our Sportcraft does out west.
